Out On A Limb

So I might go out on a limb and say that Spring has arrived in Ontario, Canada.

It is perfect Maple Syrup weather, cool-cold at night and warm during the day. The sap will be running very soon if not already. There is nothing better than real
Maple Syrup! There is a gentleman at the Farmers Market that sells the sap from his trees as is. It tastes like sweet water. Hard to imagine it turns into dark sweet distinctly flavored syrup.

    1. We use a lot of maple syrup. It's great on porridge and brushed on meat.

  3. Yes...there is nothing better than the real Maple Syrup. Some 50 years ago we would tap the trees and make maple syrup on an out door fire pit at our cottage near Wiarton Ontario...we would boil the sweet water for hours. Mom is now 86...she still has the cottage but the trees have not been tapped in a very long time. It was the best maple syrup!! Happy stitching Pauline

    1. I drive by a farm that taps the trees right beside the road. It is very basic, buckets and water bottles! It is amazing how much sap it takes to make syrup!
