Art Quilting

I have been taking a quilting class at my local quilt shop on art quilting. We have been learning a variety of techniques such as stamping, painting, gems, texture, Angelina fibers, creative uses of zippers... I guess the pictures are a little faded out it was finally sunny today :)

The front cover with leave quilting from the free-motion quilting challenge.

Angelina fibers under netting with ribbons, a stamped fiber sewn on top!
This is layered fabric that has had the top layer burned with a burning tool.

We made tucks and added gems, we also added ribbons and trim under the tucked fabric.

This is stamping and paint then machine quilted with Sliver thread.

This is making lace from threads and wool placed between Solvy and then quilted.
